Kia ora and welcome to Te Atatū Peninsula Kindergarten

Te Atatu Peninsula Kindergarten is a hidden gem. You may not see us from the road, but come along and meet us, we know you’ll love our kindergarten.

Awesome Outdoor Spaces – Our outdoor setting has everything! Our children are physically active, imaginative and have a great time together. Whether it’s having tea parties with their friends, building mountains in our sandpit, hiding out in our ngāhere, or climbing and running – whatever your child loves, we can cater for it. Hidden out the back of our outside area is our whare, Te Puna Aroha.

Teaching Team – Our teaching team are passionate about our children. We want to ensure every child is happy with us, and whānau feel confident they are well looked after both physically and emotionally. We have 4 fully qualified and experienced teachers and an amazing support team who are experienced and who care about your children.

Whānau – We welcome new whānau to our centre with a mihi whakatau once per term. This is our way to say, you are part of our kindergarten. We treasure participation of whānau in our programme, and have regular events where all whānau are invited.

Creativity – We value creativity through the arts, and imaginative play. We encourage children to make choices about their activities, and provide many opportunities for art exploration, dramatic and imaginary play, music and dancing. We are interested in how children approach resources and encourage them to follow through their own ideas and goals.

Exploring Te Atatu – Our 4 year olds have regular walks to our local reserve, Orangihina. We participate in the Wild About Te Atatu Programme run by Community Waitakere. Once per term we visit Peninsula Primary School to participate in their preschool programme.

Sessions – We welcome children from the age of 2 years and offer morning sessions, from 8.30am – 12.30pm, and school day sessions, from 8.30am-2.30pm. Come and visit us, we’d love to show you all we have to offer.
