KiNZ care and early learning centres offer full day care and early learning programmes for children from 3 months of age* until they begin school with an emphasis on excellence in education.
At KiNZ we celebrate the little moments when a child discovers something about themselves and the world around them. We focus on developing each child’s unique strengths and interests, and building knowledge, skills and dispositions within a caring and respectful environment. We have well-resourced curriculum areas for experimentation, exploration and fun.
KiNZ is proud to be part of the Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA); an organisation that has been giving children the best possible start in life for over 100 years. We strongly advocate the approach of learning through play and with the support and expertise of the AKA, this is what makes the KiNZ experience so exciting and effective for developing young minds.
*Ages differ between our KiNZ centres.
What my child will learn at KiNZ
Our kindergarten style learning programme is based on the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki (2017). It is designed to support children “to grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.”
We encourage children to participate in a range of learning activities to extend and develop their ideas, skills and knowledge. Learning experiences include:
- Positive social interactions
Our programme promotes and extends the learning and development of every child by focusing on their individual strengths and interests.
Every day the learning programme includes a variety of planned and spontaneous activities, small group and individual interactions, active and quiet time, indoor and outdoor play. Our qualified teaching staff provide children with an extensive range of high quality resources and educational opportunities to prepare them for a journey of lifelong learning.
Our teachers will help prepare children for their transition to school to make the process as easy and seamless as possible.

Settling at KiNZ
Many children love KiNZ from their first day, while others may need time to become comfortable with the new environment. The teaching team are committed to working with you to ensure this settling period is as enjoyable and easy as possible for you and your child.
We encourage you to visit regularly prior to your child’s start day so they become familiar with the staff, other children and routines.
