Kia ora and welcome to Titirangi Kindergarten

Working together – Respectful, positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and our community – that’s our commitment to providing the very best support for our tamariki at Titirangi Kindergarten.

Skilled teaching team – We’re an experienced, stable and 100% qualified team who love being part of our special kindergarten community. We recognise that every child is different and we have the skills and knowledge to support each child with their individual learning and development needs. All our teachers are trained in the behaviour management programme, The Incredible Years.

Tamariki as leaders – At Titirangi Kindergarten tamariki take an active role in their learning. Through meaningful play experiences tamariki make discoveries, set new challenges and communicate their thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Enviromental focus – We’re part of the nationwide Enviroschools programme which is embedded within our everyday practices and curriculum. We role model the importance of respecting and caring for our environment, encouraging tamariki to think and act as kaitiaki (guardians) of our planet.  We have achieved Silver status as an Enviroschool and are proud to provide an inclusive, rich, stimulating, challenging and sustainable learning environment for our tamariki.

Bicultural commitment – We acknowledge Māori as Tangata Whenua and are committed to strengthening our community’s understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi, by reflecting the unique heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand in our everyday practice. Our strong culture of whakawhanaungatanga – relationship building –  and the concepts of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga, are the foundation of our inclusive and collaborative partnerships.

Home is where the heart is – We invite you to visit us at Woodlands Park School, our temporary home while our South Titirangi Road site undergoes remediation work following the impact of the February floods. We have created a beautiful second home in Woodlands Park, where tamariki continue to flourish, where our learning community continues to grow and the same friendly teaching team continue to nurture and inspire.

We welcome enquiries and for you to visit us at 202 Woodlands Park Road.

  • WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

When we moved into the area Titirangi Kindergarten stood out to us as a great place to send our kids - a passionate and engaged team of teachers and an extensive outdoor play area for the kids to explore. We haven’t been disappointed, our kids are happy, thriving and have all the fundamental building blocks for a great start to school
