BACKING UP

Without a doubt my most important data on either my phone, tablet or computer are my precious family photos. I can recreate a document but I can never recreate a photo of my newborn, my grandparents 80th birthdays, or my wedding.

To protect those precious images, I recommend that you back up your phone, tablet, and computer. As part of my backing up approach, I use an external hard drive that is kept off site away from my home to back up my computer. That way if there was a disaster such as a fire or earthquake there is less risk of losing the data. You may also consider making extra back-ups to cloud services such as DropboxiCloud or Google Drive as additional protection. Make it a regular routine to back up and, from time to time, check that you can access those backups. This way, you ensure that you are able to restore from them if required.
