Kia ora, Talofa lava, Malo e Lelei, Kia orana, Bula Vinaka, Nia Hao, As-salam alaikum, Bon jour, Konnichiwa, Namaste. Nau mai, Haere mai, Welcome to Mt Roskill Kindergarten!

Mt. Roskill Kindergarten is situated on Akarana Avenue at the top of Harold Long Reserve and Fearon Park. We serve a rich, multicultural and diverse community and enjoy a beautiful learning environment that looks out over our neighbourhood.

Our tamariki love playing and learning with their friends in our wonderful outdoor learning spaces. We have a large playground that provides plenty of opportunities for tamariki to challenge themselves and work together with their friends. We also have raised garden beds in which tamariki grow kai and explore our natural environment.

At Mt Roskill kindergarten we empower children to become life-long learners through their play. With us, children explore and develop their skills such as physical movement; problem-solving; safe risk taking; negotiation; collaboration, being resilient and taking care of our environment and each others.

These skills are developed as they engage in different areas of the kindergarten  and experiences such as role play, water play, sand play, games, gardening and a variety of other activities on offer for the children each day.

We welcome you to visit us. We’d love to show you around and talk to you about what we can offer your child.

  • WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

Mt Roskill Kindergarten has been like a second home for my two boys. The environment is wonderfully set up for exploration, learning, fun and adventure. The teaching team are welcoming, caring, supportive, and incredibly passionate and dedicated. They understand that every child is unique and ensure they are nurtured, as well as giving them the confidence and freedom to be themselves. We feel truly blessed to have had our children attend Mt Roskill Kindergarten for their early childhood education.
