One of the wonderful things about Point Chevalier kindergarten is how enthusiastically the community rally together. Earlier this week we invited the parents and adult whanau to come into kindergarten for the evening so they could meet one another and have a chance to socialise outside of pick up and drop off. We offered beading, playdough, screen printing and a range of refreshments. An exciting centrepiece of the evening was helping us paint a canvas for our Science area of a New Zealand rainforest created by a local artist and Mum, Cathy Glaister. The community really enjoyed this evening and were proud to be a part of something that we are hoping will take pride of place in our new kindergarten. It was a great evening with a chance to enjoy each others company and to get to know one another.
