Mt Albert Kindergarten children enjoyed an awesome project to design and build an obstacle course for their outdoor play area!

Manon took a leadership role and asked the children what they should draw on their plans for the course. The children put their hands up and chose the first piece of equipment and Manon drew it straight away.  Next, she asked the children the order of the other pieces of equipment.  Some children volunteered to draw, so Manon told them, “Okay you finish the design, and we will start building.”

The team of children worked cooperatively to assemble the obstacle course. Luke inspected the obstacle course and said, “It’s all correct, the work is completed.” The children were very proud of their finished design and posed for a team photo.

They had a wonderful time working towards a common goal, and once the obstacle course was ready, the real fun started!
