What’s not to love about children’s art?! Here at Point Chevalier Kindergarten the children are busy exploring materials and their properties and how to use them to create works of art. On the basis of this exploration and experimentation, they form working theories about the world around them. These theories are modified as they gain more knowledge and understanding. Often these discoveries are made on their own, but very often others (both children and adults) have input and influence. At early childhood level, we often tend to focus on the process rather than the product, as these skills ad processes learned and developed will be carried forward in future learning… plus the copies of the prints make our walls look great!
