Our kindergarten is set in large, tree-clad grounds.  Children have lots of room for running and climbing which develops large motor skills.  We have excellent equipment to extend these skills. 

We are well equipped to offer the children a stimulating programme that promotes future life skills and gets them ready for formal learning. 

Whiteacres Kindergarten is situated next to Waka Aranga Primary School.  The children are able to see their friends playing in the school playground and we are also able to use the playing fields ourselves for large group outdoor activities.  Approximately 50% of our children feed into this school and approximately the same number to Sunnyhills Primary School, with a few going on to other schools. 

We use digital cameras extensively to record our children's strengths and interests.  Children's portfolios are easily accessible to both the children and their families.  They are encouraged to take ownership of these and look at them frequently.  Parents are welcome to spend as much time as they choose at the kindergarten, and younger siblings are also welcome.
