Otahuhu Kindergarten is located between McAuley High School and Murphy Park, and is a five-minute stroll to the Otahuhu shopping centre.
Our outdoor area is spacious and green, with lots of shady trees and our indoor area is bright and interesting; our environment invites children’s exploration.
We are a culturally diverse kindergarten. Our children and their families participate in and enjoy our kindergarten community events that include shared lunches and excursions out into the local community.
We offer each child and their family a safe, stimulating and nurturing educational environment. We believe that children learn best in an environment that is respectful and inclusive of culture, gender and ability. We recognize that each child is unique and encourage all children to be involved in a wide range of challenging and enriching activities.
Children’s individual abilities are nurtured and they are allowed the freedom and respect to learn and explore at their own pace. Children are empowered to develop their potential through making their own learning choices, observing and problem solving with the support and guidance of teachers and their peers.
