Laingholm Kindergarten is situated in the Waitakere Ranges, and is semi-rural. It is surrounded with parkland, horse paddocks and residential houses and has a beautiful vista over the Manukau Harbour. We have a very large outdoor play area, which we utilise to the maximum, providing children the opportunities to explore many physical challenges.

We work closely with the local supportive community and the kindergarten operates both as a sessional and full day kindergarten for children from three to five years. We provide a semi-structured educational programme based on Te Whaariki.

Your teaching team delight in providing a rich and challenging environment for your children to freely explore and follow their own interests. An important part of our day is our mat times, where we come together to share children’s news, music, dance and stories.  Our mat times are 9.00am, 11.30am 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

All children have their own portfolios, that record a child’s learning and development, through photographic record and learning stories. We also encourage parent/ whanua contributions to enable us to make those important connections between home and kindergarten.
