Anchorage Park Kindergarten is located right next to the local Primary School and within 10 minutes of four other Primary Schools.  We have a special reciprocal bond with our neighbouring Primary School and we visit each other on many occasions throughout the year such as Kapa Haka group, Jump Jam and Junior School Visits.

Our families/whanau have a strong sense of belonging and ownership within our community kindergarten ensuring a welcoming environment for all.  We nurture children to develop a belief in themselves which provokes children to be involved in the many learning experiences available to them.

Relationships between children/families/whanau are very special to us and through this we are able to work collaboratively to ensure that individual children’s learning is recognised and shared.

Through our visual displays and children’s portfolios children’s ideas and thoughts are acknowledged and respected by all within the community. Our children take ownership of their portfolios and their journey of learning by having their individual interests and achievements valued and respected.
