Eligibility

The Auckland Kindergarten Association is always seeking enthusiastic teachers for relieving.

Relievers List
The Relievers List is a database of qualified and registered teachers.  This list is utilised by the kindergartens to arrange relievers when required.

All relievers on the list hold a Diploma of Teaching as a minimum qualification and a current practising certificate (Teacher Registration). 

Untrained/In-Training Relievers
If you are untrained, still in training and/or do not hold a current practising certificate, you are able to work as a untrained reliever.


Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA)

In accordance with the Employment Relations Act 2000, Kindergartens are part of the State State Sector.

The State Services Commissioner delegated the responsibility of negotiating the employment agreement to the Ministry of Education. 

Kindergarten teachers are employed under the terms and conditions of the KTCA.
